Sharagva nu Shak - Drumsticks curry in a curd-besan Gravy
A very popular Gujarati SHARAGVA nu Shaak
🧺 Ingredients
- Drum Sticks (Chopped in big pc.)4 Nos.
- Gram flour1 Cup
- Curd1 Cup
- Green chillies (Finely Chopped)2 Nos.
- 4 -5 Nos. Curry Leaves
- 2 TBSPN Oil
- 2 Tspn Turmeric Powder
- as per Taste Salt
- Onions (Finely Chopped (OPTIONAL))1 Medium
- 1 Tspn Mustard Seeds
- 1 Tspn Asafoetida
👨🍳 Method — step by step

In a boiling water, blanch the drum sticks till it's become soft.
keep it aside.

Heat oil in a pan.
Add Mustered seeds and let them crackle.
Add curry leaves and asafoetida.
Add finely chopped onion and cook it till becomes translucent.

in a mixing bowl, take 1 cup of gram flour and 1 cup curd.
Beat it well and make sure no lumps are left in the better. Add water and adjust the consistency.
Add this mixture in the cooked onion.

Cook it for 10 minutes or till it thickens.

Now add blanched drumsticks into the cooked besan.
Mix it well.
Cook it with the closed lid for 2 - 3 minutes.

Serve it hot with choice of your bread... (Roti, bhakhari, etc).
