Traditional Red Chola (Cow peas)
Traditional Chola is the protein rich dish which is very easy to prepare yet Healthy.
🧺 Ingredients
- 200 gms Chola (boiled or pressure cooked)
- Red Onion (Finely Chopped)1 medium
- Tomatoes (Finely Chopped)1 medium
- Green chillies (Finely Chopped)1 No
- 4 To 5 No Garlic (Finely chopped)
- Curry Leaves5 No
- To Taste Salt
- 1 Tspn Kashmiri Red Chilly Powder
- 1/2 tspn Turmeric Powder
- Pinch Asafoetida
- As required Water
- Tbspn Oil
👨🍳 Method — step by step

In a pan heat oil, add garlic, green chilly and curry leaves. Sauté them for a while.

Add asafoetida, red chilly powder and chopped onion. Sauté them till onion get translucent.

Add tomato and sauté well till they become soft.

Add Chola, salt and turmeric. Sauté well and some water. Simmer it for 5 minutes.

It's ready. Serve hot!!!
