KHASTA KACHORI a Famous street food with some different Flavor...

🧺 Ingredients

  • Boiled and mashed potato (Medium)4 Nos
  • Maida2 Cups
  • 3 TBSPN Pure Ghee
  • As Required Water (We used 1 Cup water to prepare a chapati like Dough.)
  • To Taste Salt
  • 1 Tspn Coriander Seeds
  • 1 tspn Cumin Seeds
  • 1 Tspn Fennel Seeds
  • 1 Tspn Ginger Paste
  • 1 Tspn Garlic Paste
  • 1 -2 Nos. Green Chillies (Finely Chopped)
  • 1 Tspn Red Chilly Powder
  • 1 tspn Turmeric Powder
  • 1 Tspn Garam Masala
  • To Fry Oil
  • 1 Tspn Black Pepper (Freshly Crushed)
  • Mint Leaves (Hand torn fresh Leaves)1/2 Cup

👨‍🍳 Method — step by step

TO PREPARE A DOUGH>>>

In a mixing bowl, take maida add ghee and salt. Mix it well with hand.

Keep adding water as required to prepare a very smooth dough (like a chapati Dough).

Let it rest.

TO PREPARE FILLING>>>

Heat 2 Tspn Oil in a pan.

Add Cumin seeds, Fennel seeds and coriander seeds to it. Saute them till it releases the aroma.

Add Ginger and garlic paste, red chilly powder, salt, garam masala and turmeric powder and mix it for a while.

Add boiled meshed potatoes to it and mix it gently on a medium flame.

cook it for 4 - 5 Minutes till it become dry in consistency.

Filling is ready.

From the dough, make 8 equal size balls.

Roll one ball and fill it with 1 TBSPN of prepared filling and close it from the edges and make a big ball.

With the help of fingers, keep on spreading it to make a round kachori. Do it Gently.

Heat oil to fry in a fry pan.

On a medium heat deep fry all Kachoris till golden brown

Serve them hot with Green Chutney or any choice of dip/chutneys.
