Aaloo Tikki is known to have like a chaat by topping it with many things.... While Sambhar usually is a normal accompany to rice, dili or Dose ...Thought of combining both tastes together to design a totally new dish...Turned out really amazing mixing two different tastes... Must tryπππ... (Spinach Sambhar is also prepared like the same way it's prepared on the road side food joints in Bangalore which will not be available in any dine in restaurantβΊοΈβΊοΈβΊοΈ)
π§Ί Ingredients
- Toor Daal3/4 Cup
- (1 Bunch) Spinach (Finely Chopped)2 Cup
- Onions (Sliced)1 Cup
- Tomatoes (Sliced (Took 3 Medium Tomatoes))1.5 Cup
- Green Chillies2 Nos.
- 7 -8 Nos. Garlic
- To Taste Salt
- 2 Tspn Red Chilli powder
- 2 Tspn Turmeric Powder
- 1 Tspn Garam Masala
- 2 tspn Lemon Juice
- 1 TBSPN Oil
- 1 Tspn Mustard Seeds
- 5 -6 Nos Curry Leaves
- pinch Hing
- 4 -5 Nos. Potatoes (Boiled (Ingredients for Aaloo Tikki))
- To Taste Salt
- 2 Tspn Black Pepper (Freshly Crushed)
- 1 TBSPN Coriander Leaves (Finely Chopped)
- To Shallow Fry Tikkis Oil
π¨βπ³ Method β step by step
SPINACH SAMBHAR > > >

In a pressure cooker, take washed Toor Daal, sliced onion, slicked tomatoes, diced brinjal, Garlic cloves, slitted green chillies, 3 Cups of water.
Season it with Salt, garam masala, red chilly powder, turmeric powder and mix it well.
Cook it for 4 Whistles. Let it cool.
Open the cooker, and beat the daal roughly with a beater.
Add finely chopped fresh Spinach to it.
Add 2 cups of water, cook it on a low to medium flame for 10 minutes.
For tempering, heat oil in a tempering pan.
Add mustered seeds and let them crackle completely.
Add curry leaves, pinch of hing and a tspn of red chilly powder.
Temper the boiled sambhar with this tempering.
Again let it boil for 5 minutes.
Spinach Sambhar is Ready !!!

In a mixing bowl, mesh the boiled potatoes.
Season it with salt, finely chopped green chillies, freshly crushed black pepper and mix it well.
Make equal size of tikkis from it.
Heat Oil on a flat pan.
Coat all the tikkis with corn flour evenly.
Shallow fry all the tikkis from both the sides till brown.
Tikkis are ready !!!
Serve > > >

In a serving plate, place tikkis in the middle.
Pour Spinach sambhar around it.
Serve it hot.
Also, one can add choice of chutney or curd along with sambhar.
