Okra (Bhindi) Kadhi
"Okra Kadhi Gujarati Style"
Gujarati Kadhi is basically sweet n tangy preparation of curd n besan gravy...
Here is a savoury version of kadhi with fresh okra (Bhindi)... Goes very well with plain rice or chapati ...
🧺 Ingredients
- 300 Gram OKRA (Bhindi) (Cut into dices.)
- Green chilly (Roughly Chopped)2 Nos.
- 1 tspn Turmeric Powder
- To Taste Salt
- 1 TBSPN Oil
- Curd1 Cup
- Water2 Cup
- 2 TBSPN Gram Flour
👨🍳 Method — step by step
In a mixing bowl, Beat plain curd till smooth.
Add gram flour and beat it well.
Add water and gently mix it.
Heat Oil in a pan.
Add Green chilly.
Add okra (Bhindi) dices to it and mix it well.
Season it with salt and turmeric powder and mix it well.
Cook it on a medium flame and OPEN LID for almost 5 - 10 Minutes or till they are not sticky anymore.
(TIP: You can add few drops of lemon juice while cooking Bhindi to avoid those Sticky strings :-) )
Add Curd Mixture to it and mix it well.
Cook it for 3 - 4 boils or till it become thick.
OKRA KADHI is ready to be served.
Serve it hot with PLAIN RICE / or ROTI / CHAPATI / PARATHA (Y)
